The death of a loved one is something that sadly most of us will experience at some point in our lives.
Probate is the act of applying to deal with the estate of a relative or close friend after they passed away.
How we can help

By taking professional advice, there is scope for substantial IHT savings. At Bronsens, we aim to tailor our service to fit your situation. We look at your overall circumstances and aspirations, whilst focusing on your long term financial security. This can tie in with our private client service.

- Applying for probate
If a will has been left we will apply for a grant of probate.
If a will hasn’t been left we will apply for a grant of letters of administration
- Valuing and distributing assets
This is where we find out what the assets are, what they are worth and confirming liabilities are in order. Once this has been achieved, we can help complete the tax returns, pay the tax and outstanding bills and distribute the remaining estate to the beneficiaries.
Why use an accountant to handle probate?
We only charge for the work that we do. We do not charge a percentage fee based on the value of the estate.
Our charges are based on hourly rates which are available on request and a fee guideline is always issued as part of our engagement procedures.
Many clients entrust estate administration to us because our existing detailed knowledge of their financial affairs means we can act quickly and effectively on probate matters with consequent cost benefits. Equally, we are happy to offer our probate service to individuals who have not previously used our services.
